Dupe for Jeffree Star ‘Mermaid Blood’ is…

What’s up BEAUTIFUL! How was your Valentine’s Day or Week? Mine was more than what I expected it to be and in a good way (wink!). I regularly post about the dupes for high-end makeup products that are mainly an OUT-SELLER. And today is one of these DUPE editions that we will be knowing more about. In this blog post, I will be sharing my thoughts on the best replacement for a lip product i.e. Liquid Lipstick from the brand Jeffree Star Cosmetics.

Look at this gorgeous shade of Liquid Lipstick by Youtuber ‘Jeffree Star’ straight from his Holiday Collection. This is a fine shade of teal that according to Jeffree is a Mermaid color well Duh! This Velour Liquid Lipstick is a DEEP teal color that can transform the wearer into a Head-Turner. The thing about Jeffree’s Cosmetics range is that it is 100% Vegan and Cruelty-free.

The packaging is obviously gorgeous and SPARKLY as it belongs to one of the Holiday Collection by the famous MUA. It is priced at $18 and weighs about 0.19oz, this liquid lipstick goes as an opaque shade but once completely dried it’s all MATTE & stays for long hours. And the dupe what I think can make up for this mermaid baby is called ‘Video Games’ by the brand Give Me Glow Cosmetics.

This is a newly launched liquid lipstick by the cosmetics brand and costs $13.25 for 0.22oz. Yes, it is less pricey but does it completely replace the Jeffree Star’s Mermaid Blood. Well, the answer to that is a MAYBE because this shade is somewhat a lighter teal in comparison to Jeffree’s. But at the same time, it makes a good impression with its richness and pigmentation.

This may not be my ULTIMATE DUPE so I will still try to find a better replacement. Let me know do you agree with this thought or not. 🙂

p.s. – This was the Dupe Edition with Jeffree Star ($18) VS Give Me Glow ($13) – who won according to you?
